Sunshine Express Cargo & Logistics Pte Ltd

From 2 July to 20 August 2018, the Consumers Association of Singapore (“CASE”) received 21 complaints* regarding the closure of Sunshine Express Cargo & Logistics Pte Ltd (“Sunshine Express”). The registered office address of Sunshine Express is 6 Cuff Road Singapore 209717.

Most of the consumers who reported to CASE mentioned that they had signed an agreement with Sunshine Express to courier their personal items to India several months before. However, the company delayed the shipment and eventually failed to deliver or only delivered a portion of their items. These consumers reported that they had recently found out that the shopfront had closed down and the company is now uncontactable. They also feedback that approximately $27,000 worth of their personal items were now missing.

Affected consumers with unresolved disputes against the company may approach CASE for further assistance (hotline: 6100 0315, website: www.case.org.sg).

Meanwhile, CASE would like to advise consumers to always ask whether the courier company offers order and delivery tracking services so that they can be kept informed about the transit of their parcels in real-time. They should also ensure that their parcels are insured in the event of delayed, lost or damaged goods.
