From 22 to 30 July 2018, the Consumers Association of Singapore (“CASE”) received six complaints* on the closure of For You Wedding Pte Ltd / For You Wedding Services.
Based on consumers’ complaints, the company had abruptly cancelled their wedding package contracts and is now uncontactable. These consumers feedback that they had paid monthly instalments for their wedding packages amounting to approximately $108,000 in total.
The registered office address of For You Wedding Pte Ltd is 31 Woodlands Close #08-33 Woodlands Horizon Singapore 737855. The paid-up capital of the company is $1.
Affected consumers with unresolved disputes against the company may approach CASE for further assistance (hotline: 6100 0315, website: www.case.org.sg).
Meanwhile, we would like to encourage consumers to purchase wedding insurance that covers business insolvency. This will ensure that their prepayments are protected if the bridal agency closes down abruptly.
Consumers should also do their own research on whether the bridal agency has a good track record of delivering their services promptly and effectively. They should minimise their deposit payment as much as possible and should never make full payment upfront to the company.
