To enhance the standards in the beauty industry, CASE collaborates with NAILS.
CASE and the Nailist Association For International Licenses - Singapore (NAILS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together to enhance standards in the beauty industry.
CASE has received high number of complaints from within the beauty industry in recent years, with more than 1,100 complaints in 2023. Common complaints relate to misleading and false claims, pressure sales tactics and unsatisfactory service.
Under the collaboration, NAILS commits to onboard 50 member businesses performing beauty and nails services to obtain CaseTrust accreditation under the new Bronze tier, customised for small and medium-sized enterprises. Businesses that undergo CaseTrust accreditation would be assessed to have put in place consumer-friendly policies, such as clear fee and refund policies, transparent pricing and marketing, a cooling-off period to allow consumers to seek full refund of payment if they do not wish to proceed with their packages, and well-trained personnel to provide good customer service.
Through this collaboration, we hope to better address consumers’ pain points and reduce the number of consumer complaints. Accreditation will also differentiate NAILS members from the varied beauty and nail salons currently in the market and allow consumers greater assurance when patronising the these beauty and nail salons.
